Ever wondered what your interviewer is thinking?
Imagine having access to vital interview notes.
Spoiler: It’s possible with a good recruiter.
The one thing your recruiter should absolutely be giving to you is insider tips from your interview process.
Insider knowledge from the hiring team is critical.
Sharing their notes to guide you to success in the final rounds is literally a make or break.
If your recruiter is solid, they should have a solid relationship with their client to be in this position.
People are people. Sometimes they assume.
This is an immensely costly mistake when hiring.
You should get every single bit of information your recruiter has received from their client on your interview performance.
This means, every note, no matter how good or bad, received from the client should help guide you along the interview process positively to secure the job.
Knowledge is power and we have the opportunity to share this with you as your headhunter!
EXAMPLE:
Client:
“Emily, I really think this candidate could be a great fit, but I can’t understand why they haven’t been promoted at their current company. It’s making me think twice about extending an offer.”
Me:
“Maybe there’s no room for him to grow. Maybe it’s a flat structure. When you interviewed him last, did you ask him the question? Perhaps you should before ruling him out.”
Client:
“No I didn’t ask. I need to think about this.”
Me 10 mins later to my candidate:
“Tim, for your next interview please make sure you can sneak in a way to explain why you haven’t been promoted in your current company. Client assumes that you haven’t been promoted for a specific reason but I know this is not the case.”
Boom. Job done. A small move like this changes the game.
The client is happy that they are working with a headhunter that makes sure no stone is left unturned and the candidate gets the guidance and representation they deserve for their career move.
A small move like this changes the game, wouldn’t you agree?
